Multi-agency brick kiln report

Working in partnership with Brooke, The Donkey Sanctuary and International Labour Organization, we have just finished a 64 page report on the Brick Kiln industry in South Asia ready for a launch event in Kathmandu, Nepal.
We decided to use bricks as a versatile graphic device that can be used in infographics, page footers or to construct a larger shape; such as the brick kiln chimney shape on the front cover. The colours of the report aim to reflect those typically seen in and around brick kilns.

Brooke Invisible Workers report and conference

London based equine charity Brooke asked CompanyX to design a report which would highlight the vital and often underappreciated part equines play in the livelihoods of communities around the world. Despite the fact that they work every day of the year, connecting people, communities and markets, working donkeys, horses and mules remain largely absent in livelihoods and livestock related policies and interventions. This ‘invisibility’ gave us the idea of using a dotted line to simply highlight where they were in a larger environment and to stress their importance.
The report was 44 pages long and was launched at a special event ‘Invisible Livestock’ at Great George Street, just down the road from the Houses of Parliament in London. CompanyX also designed the event email invitation, the stage backdrop and powerpoint templates.

SustainIt responsive website

CSR and sustainability consultants SustainIt have been a CompanyX client since we helped to rebrand them back in 2011. We have recently delivered a new responsive website for them where the brief was to make what they do more immediate and accessible to a more international audience. Using Google Analytics we discovered that despite their previous site having a vast amount of content, web visitors weren’t viewing it because the site lacked focus and didn’t get to the point quickly enough. We recommended a responsive single page approach using their existing ModX content management system to minimise the need for extra training.
As they say ‘content is king’ and we wanted to keep the site very SEO friendly we developed a separate blog page for rich article content, newsletter sign up, twitter feed, category listings, tags, search engine etc.
