Project title: UNA-UK; New visual identity
Founded in 1945, the United Nations Association – UK (UNA-UK) is the country’s foremost advocate for UK action at the UN; the UK's leading source of analysis on the UN; and a vibrant grassroots movement of 20,000 people from all walks of life. They are the only charity in the UK devoted to building support for the UN amongst policymakers, opinion-formers and the public. They contacted me about developing a new visual identity that needed to form both an immediate visual link to the UN yet also be distinctive enough to have its own personality.
I re-badged the UN logo to include the UNA-UK element and developed a curved icon that would accommodate it. By keeping the primary logo a neutral charcoal grey enabled me to suggest a vibrant colour palette to compliment it and made the curve of the icon a significant part of the branding, ensuring a coherent look for the organisation that will be rolled out in the latter half of 2023.
